Energy System
The Datacenter has two medium voltage separate entrances 13.2 KV fed from two different substations of Edesur provider.
Additionally, it has a self-generation plant of electricity with a capacity of 4 MVA which consists of 2 sets of Caterpillar power generators, of 2 MVA each, offering the possibility of extending it up to 6 MVA. Both sets are preheated 24 hours to obtain the lowest response time in the boot.
Each generator is equipped with a fuel tank of 2.000 liters which is used for testing operation. Additionally there are two main tanks which are interconnected and can store up to 70,000 liters of fuel which allows continuous operation of 7 days without fill the main tanks.
The uninterruptible power supply system has an UPS configuration in N + 1 mode with capacity of 1.8 MVA, configured as a redundant system that ensures mechanisms for constant regulated energy flow.
Service power supply (220VAC / 380VAC)
• Double plant dry transformers (2 + 3 MVA MVA).
• Back up of 1 hour of battery to support the UPS system.
• The supply of energy to customers is through PDUs (PowerDelivery Unit) located in each Datacenter room which deliver energy in a redundant scheme from the UPSs.
